Sponsorship Acquisition for Leicester Square Premier
Eating Our Way to Extinction is a powerful documentary narrated by Kate Winslet, that shines a light on the impact of the food and dairy industry on climate change and the environment.
Director & Producer Ludo Brockway, reached out to Entertainment 51 in late July 2021; the purpose, to secure a sponsor and partners for the World Premiere of the movie, taking place early September at the Odeon, Leicester Square, London.
The team at Entertainment 51 felt this was an exciting opportunity for the right sponsor, however from a timing perspective, securing a six-figure sum for sponsorship from a standing start in August would be a challenge!
Ludo explained, “I had been trying to generate support for the movie premiere for several months and was frustrated that I wasn´t making progress, I spoke with Entertainment 51, and they explained their methodology, they made no guarantees, however we felt they had the right expertise to achieve our goals, and so appointed them.”
Following an initial consultation, Entertainment 51 suggested some changes to the existing sponsorship packages and then created the proposal. They began reaching out to existing brands and organisations that they had a relationship with, in addition a powerful targeted email campaign began.
Entertainment 51 found the main issue was timing; to secure a commitment from a credible partner within such a short time frame was always going to be a challenge. However, the in-house commercial team were all brought in to the project and following extensive sales & marketing activity, a perfect sponsor and additional partners were found – achieving the financial targets.
